Dancing For Our Heroes 2026

Meet the The LOT Project’s 2026 duo for Dancing For Our Heroes!

Dancing For Our Heroes is a dance competition inspired by the popular ABC TV show "Dancing with the Stars." As the signature event of the Rotary Club of Greater Anderson, it brings together local celebrities to raise funds and awareness for important causes. This year, The LOT Project is honored to be one of the selected nonprofits represented! We are proud to announce that our celebrity dancers for 2026 are Jimmie and Stephanie Williams! Read the introduction by Stephanie below.

Jimmie and Stephanie Williams—Anderson University’s Head Men’s Basketball Coach and his wife—have been doing the Lord’s work for nearly 20 years. They were called to Anderson three and a half years ago to lead the AU men’s basketball program and have loved this city from the very first visit.

Jimmie grew up in Kansas City, while Stephanie was raised in Texas. Their paths crossed in Scottsdale, Arizona, where they quickly fell in love. Jimmie was the first person to speak truth into Stephanie’s life about who she is in Christ, and today they are raising four children of their own, all of whom know Jesus as their Savior. They have witnessed countless miracles and boldly testify that it is all Jesus’ work.

Coming from different backgrounds, Jimmie and Stephanie have experienced God’s love in unique ways, allowing them to deeply relate to young athletes from all walks of life. Their approach to coaching goes far beyond championships and wins—it is about developing young men into followers of Christ and empowering them to become the best versions of who God has called them to be. They believe revival is taking place within athletics and are excited to be part of it.

Dancing and raising funds for The LOT Project felt like a perfect fit for this couple because of their deep care for the community. The community pours into their players, and they are passionate about giving back. Through Ian and Sophie Morel, they connected with The LOT Project and were able to serve children at the Artisan Gardens—many of whom later attended the free summer basketball camp they host each year. This past summer, more than 300 campers attended our day camps!

This year is special with this team because they have the most unselfish players who are especially driven. The team is making history and having a lot of fun while doing it!

Fun fact: Stephanie beat Jimmie in a dance contest 20 years ago—so this time, they’re thrilled to dance together. Jimmie and Stephanie are incredibly grateful for your support through Dancing For Our Heroes and are excited for the opportunity to compete (and hopefully win)!

If you would like to sponsor Jimmie and Stephanie and support The LOT Project, please visit the link below before April 16! Help us reach our goal of raising $15,000!
