Louie’s Meal Calendar
What does it mean to be a meal provider at Louie’s?
WHEN?
Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon
Food is prepared offsite and arrives at Louie’s at 3:30pm
Food is served at 4:00pm
Louie’s is closed at 6:00pm
The meal providers are welcome to stay and serve or just drop off the food at 3:30pm! Each group does it differently.
WHO?
Anyone can be a meal provider! We often have businesses, restaurants, families, churches, small groups, or individuals sign up to provide the meal.
The meal is served to approximately 120 individuals each time we open, the majority of whom are experiencing homelessness and/or deep poverty.
WHERE?
In the middle unit of 302 West Market Street Anderson, SC 29624 labeled “Louie’s”
HOW?
The meals can be prepared in whatever way works best for your group and can be as simple as a casserole or baked spaghetti with a side or two, or you are welcome to get creative and prepare whatever you would like! Also, feel free to get something catered instead from a local restaurant. Whatever you decide on, we encourage you to provide filling meals. We understand that many of our guests have limited access to food, so we want to provide a quality, hearty meal as often as we can!
The LOT Project provides bottled water, to-go trays, and cutlery, but you are also welcome to bring some with you! Feel free to branch out and bring different drinks other than water or maybe some dessert if that is something that interests your group. It is totally up to you!
