Restoring Earth, Heart, and Home

In the beginning, God creates the garden as the center of beauty and life through engaging relationships. God, man, and creation exist to be affected deeply by others. Our Creator desires to be in the center of human life so much (the good and bad), that he makes us his garden-home. He cares and tends to us every day, inviting us out of our chaos and back into friendship and caring for all of life with his perfect joy.

Artisan Gardens is a community project which transforms empty lots in the “Alphabet Streets” neighborhood into green spaces, gathering places, and organic flower and vegetable gardens.

How We Grow

We avoid synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. Our produce is grown in raised and in-ground beds that are strengthened by organic compost and topsoil. We practice environmentally friendly gardening practices such as cover crops, crop rotation, mulch layering, and companion planting. We are constantly looking to steward the land in the best way, cultivating the soil and the culture of our environment to produce nutrient dense produce.

In addition to valuing organic methods of growing and caring for the earth, our gardens are educational and experimental spaces to teach volunteers and community members different methods of organic and regenerative gardening and the positive impact they can have in our world.
